The Town has another summer filled with fun events this year!! All events will be listed on our community calendar with more info. See below for a list of upcoming events. *This page will get updated as events come in*.
–Nahant Market by the Sea – Saturdays July 18th, August 15th and September 12th from 10:00am-1:00pm – Flash Road Park visit the market page here for more information
FRIDAY JULY 03, 2026
–Horribles Parade – 5:00pm – Spring Road Basketball Courts – Parade Attendees should start to gather at the Spring Road Basketball Courts beginning at 4:30pm. Parade will march with a Police escort for safety from Spring Road Basketball courts to Flash Road Park. Dress in your best red, white and blue outfit or dress up however you like! Kids can ride their bikes, scooters, small electric ride on toys etc. Strollers and wagons allowed too. Join in the fun to help kick off the July 4th festivities!
SATURDAY JULY 4, 2026
–Annual Tortoise and the Hare Road Race – 8:00am – starting and ending at the Nahant Fire Station. This is a 1 mile and a 3 mile race for all ages. Open to all and free. Registration begins at 7:45am. Click here for road race routes.
–Annual July 4th Field Races – 9:00am – behind the Fire Station – join us for the annual July 4th field races including the 50 yard dash, egg toss, and three legged race! Super fun to get in the July 4th spirit!!
–Wharf Party – 6:00pm-9:00pm – Come on down to the Wharf to hear the band Mojo Slim play some sweet music and gear up for the fireworks! An ice cream truck will be in the area to provide some sweet treats too!
–Fireworks – approx. 8:45pm – get your seat situated and ready to go by 8:45pm for the best fireworks show around! Fireworks go off at Bailey’s Hill around 9:00pm.
TUESDAY JULY 7, 2026
–Nahant Summer Park Program begins – Flash Road park from 9:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday. Stop by to make an art project, play a game and meet some new friends. On Thursdays at 10:15am our Children’s Librarian will host a story time at the park.
FRIDAY JULY 10, 2026
–Tall Ships Event -3:00pm-9:00pm The Tall Ships are coming back to Boston! The Town will be celebrating that return with another Wharf Party including music by local bands and an ice cream truck.
