Resident Stickers are for use by residents whose car(s) is registered and garaged (pay excise tax) in Nahant. All bills owed to the Town must be paid and an annual Town Census must be completed before applying for a parking sticker. I only have a Handicap Placard but no resident sticker. Can I use that to park in resident area only parking?

-No. All vehicles that use the resident parking only areas must also have a resident sticker.

Can I laminate my sticker and transfer it between other vehicles?

-No. Each sticker has the registered vehicles license plate/registration number written on the sticker. Stickers are not transferrable to another vehicle. If you transfer to another vehicle or laminate it and put it on another vehicle with a different registration number you are subject to a parking ticket and/or tow. You will also be subject to a denial for a future request of Town parking sticker.

Can I appeal a Parking Ticket?

-Massachusetts General Law allows individuals to challenge the issuance of parking tickets. You may either submit an appeal in writing and receive a determination or you may request a formal hearing. The decision made for the written appeal as well as the hearing is final. You may not request a hearing after you have selected a written appeal. To request a hearing or to submit a written appeal please see the appeal form below. Before mailing in your appeal please confirm that your ticket is within 21 DAYS of the issue date.
