Planning Board Vacancy for Two Alternate Members

The Nahant Planning Board currently has two vacancies for Alternate Members.

While an alternate member is not allowed to vote on Planning Board issues they are still allowed to join all meetings, join in discussion, ask questions and make comments.

We will be accepting letters of interest until August 14, 2024. All letters should be sent to both the Planning Board at planningboard@nahant.org and to ktaylor@nahant.org

After both boards have received all letters of interest the boards will meet at a future joint public meeting to appoint the alternate members.

Town Meetings Update

The Governor has signed the bill which allows town councils, state boards, and other bodies to continue to hold remote public meetings, which many have continued to do as millions of people have become vaccinated, until April 1, 2022. Town meetings can be held remotely until Dec. 15, 2021.

Until further notice all town and public meetings that are posted shall be held remotely (via ZOOM) unless specifically noted on the Agenda.

2021 Annual Town Meeting

The 2021 Annual Town Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 12:30 PM Outdoors on Flash Road behind the Fire Station

Last Day to Register to Vote At Town Meeting is Friday, April 2, 2021

If you are new to town, or you have never registered to vote, (you only have to do it once in the same community).  Check your voter Registration Status here.

Registration is easy…click here to register on line with a valid MA driver’s license or a State issued ID card. 

Another option is to download the voter registration form here.  After completion, you can mail it or deposit it into the Town Hall Business Mailbox that is located in front of Town Hall.

The voter registration must be received no later than 8 PM at Town Hall, or if you register on line, no later than 11:59 PM.  Once the registration has been received by the Town Clerk’s staff, an acknowledgement letter will be mailed to you.
