2. Opening Comments
a. Hazardous Waste Collection Days: August 31st and October 12th from 8am-12pm at the Lynn DPW. Certain fees apply. For a list of accepted material, cost and more, visit the community calendar at nahant.org for more information.
b. Metal/White Good/TV/Computer Recycling: Last Saturday of each month from 8am -12pm behind the DPW Garage. Resident parking sticker required. Certain fees may apply. Visit nahant.org for a full list of accepted material.
c. Compost Area Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9AM-3PM. 2024 Resident Parking Sticker Required. Visit the Public Works page at nahant.org for a full list of acceptable material.
d. No Dogs on Beaches: Starting May 1st through September 30th each year except on Doggie Beach.
e. Parking Stickers: 2024 Resident Parking Stickers now available for purchase at nahant.org. Stickers are $10 each. All outstanding bills must be paid to the Town and a census completed before purchasing.
f. FY25 Fee Schedule – Public Comment Period for proposed changes ends August 07, 2024. Visit nahant.org for a list of fees and proposed changes. Send all comments/questions to ktaylor@nahant.org
g. Nahant Market by the Sea: Saturdays August 17th and September 14th from 10am-1pm at Flash Road Park. To become a vendor visit the market page at nahant.org for application
h. Vacancy – The Planning Board currently has two open seats for alternate members. Send letters of interest to ktaylor@nahant.org and planningboard@nahant.org by August 14, 2024.

a. Vote to approve Board of Selectmen meeting minutes
b. Girl Scout Troop 62860 Presentation – Nahant Girl Scout Beach Clean-up stations
c. Vote to Declare two DPW Trucks as Surplus for the purpose of a trade in.
d. Vote to Approve ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) spending for the Composting Pilot Program
e. Discussion regarding the Board of Selectmen membership – 3 members vs 5 members
f. Discussion to consider changing the name of the Board of Selectmen to Select Board

a. Vote to amend the vote for early voting for the State Primary Election
b. Coast Guard housing update
i. Surplus and Disposition Vote: To see if the Select Board will vote to declare surplus and available for disposition Town-owned property located at 294 Castle Road (lot 1), 298 Castle Road (lot 2), 114 Gardner Road (lot 5), 7 Goddard Drive (lot 7), 9 Goddard Drive (lot 9) and 1 Goddard Drive (lot 11).
