Public Safety Designer Selection Committee

In October of 2024 the Board of Selectmen voted to create the Public Safety Designer Selection Committee.

The Committee is composed of the following members:

Fire Chief – Austin Antrim, Chair

Police Chief – Timothy Furlong, Co-Chair

Finance Director – Alison Nieto

Fire Union Representative – Lieutenant David Doyle

Police Union Representative – Sergeant John Monaco

Town Administrator Appointment – Carl Maccario

Town Administrator Appointment – Vacant

The committee is comprised of (7) seven voting members. The term will be two years or until the project is complete. The charge of the committee is as follows: Develop a Request for Qualifications to select a designer to complete a feasibility study for the replacement of the Nahant Fire and Police stations. Following acceptance of the feasibility study the committee may be retained to select a designer for schematic or final design based upon the recommendations of the feasibility study.
