**AT HOME COVID TEST KIT EXPIRATION DATE EXTENSION**

The FDA has announced that they have extended the shelf life for the brand, On/Go at home rapid COVID tests that we have in stock. The packaging on the test states “April 2022” as the expiration date however this is now extended to July 2022. Please see the FDA notice below.

Latest COVID numbers as of May 10, 2022

Last two weeks: 258 residents tested: 24 were positive

14 day positivity rate for Nahant = 10.47% vs. State 6.77%

Current cases in May = 17 (10 new cases as of May 9th)

 Because of the availability of home testing, these numbers are not a true reflection of the town’s actual positivity rate.

Town of Nahant-COVID 19 Mask Policy- effective January 7, 2022

Effective at 12:01 AM on Friday, January 7, 2022, face coverings are required for all individuals aged two
years and above in all indoor public spaces, or private spaces open to the public (except where an
individual is unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition or disability) until further notice.

While at a food establishment face masks may be removed only when seated and dining. Local establishments may download and/or print the updated face mask policy flyer and mandate (see below) to be added inside/outside of their building or on their website. The Nahant Department of Public Health has partnered with the Lynn Department of Public health in an effort to vaccinate and test our residents. Every Monday and Friday in the month of January Lynn City Hall will host a Vaccine/Booster Clinic for Lynn and Nahant Residents.
