Pursuant to the statutory requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A, section 5,
notice is hereby given that the NAHANT Planning Board will hold a hybrid public hearing
on MARCH 25, 2025, via Zoom and in Conference Room #2, Nahant Town Hall, 334 Nahant Road,
Nahant, starting at 7:00 PM on a proposal from the Nahant Planning Board seeking to 1.) amend the
Nahant Zoning By-Laws by adding Section 15: Nahant Protected Use Accessory Dwelling Units; and 2.)
amend Table of Use Regulations, Section 4.13, Table 1. The purpose and intent of this bylaw is to comply
with State’s Section 8 of Chapter 150 of 2024, also known as the Affordable Homes Act.
Copies of the full text of the proposed ADU Zoning By-Law (Section 15) and amendment to the Table of
Uses are available for inspection in the Office of the Nahant Town Clerk during regular business hours
and posted on the Town’s website at nahant.org.
Comments may be sent to the Nahant Planning Board Chair, Sheila Hambleton prior to the Hearing by
email to sheilanahant@yahoo.com to be read during the hearing.
