The Nahant Board of Selectmen will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday May 06, 2026 at 6:30pm via ZOOM and local broadcasting on a petition from Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid and Verizon New England, Inc. to locate, poles, wires, and fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across the following public way: Pleasant St. National Grid to install 1 JO Pole on Pleasant Street beginning at a point approximately 21 feet West of the centerline of the intersection of Pleasant Street and Spouting Horn Road and continuing approximately 6 feet in a Northwest direction. National Grid to install a 40’ class 3 pole in order to accommodate for a span guy and anchored guy to fix and prevent further leaning of pole #1.
