• Regular Business

Joint meeting with the Board of selectmen to fill the Vacancy on the Board of Assessors in line with the Nahant Town Charter Section 3 part 13C: “Any vacancy of an elective office, with the exception of the Board of Selectmen, shall be filled by a majority vote of the Board of Selectmen and the remaining members of the office, board or committee.  The appointment shall be effective only until the next election of the Town, at which time the vacancy shall be filled by ballot for the unexpired term of the previously vacant office.  In the event of a vacancy or vacancies in the Board of Selectmen, the remaining members or member may fill said vacancy by calling for a special election, in accordance with the provisions of the general laws.”
