Resident Parking Stickers are not available at Town Hall. Online purchase only.

Parking Stickers are available for purchase online each year in March. Our new, easy-to-use online service is available 24/7. With the convenience of placing your order online, you no longer have to make time to get to Town Hall, no more searching for your registration, and no more waiting in line to make your purchase. It streamlines the process and ensures accountability of each sticker that is issued. At your convenience, you simply complete the online application, and if all information is in good order, your order will be processed immediately.

The cost of the sticker is $10 and you can pay by debit/credit card. Our partner City Hall Systems will fulfill the order and mail your parking sticker to you within 3-business days. Of course, you must be a resident of Nahant and your car must be garaged in Nahant (pay excise tax). Further, all outstanding bills due the Town must be up to date and your annual census be on file with the Town Clerk’s Office.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can pick up an Application at the Treasurer’s Office. Upon completion, we will forward the form to City Hall Systems for processing.

What is the purpose of the Parking Sticker Program?

Its purpose is to allow residents to park at the beach and other designated areas in Nahant.

What is the Online Parking Sticker Process?

Once you have completed and submitted the sticker application, you will receive an email notification of your order. Upon verification of your information, you will receive an email that your order has been successfully processed and mailed. Usually, stickers will be mailed within three (3) business days. If there are any questions regarding your information, we will contact you.

In addition to residency, what is required to get a Parking Sticker?

In addition to residency, all bills due the Town must be paid in full and your current census must be on file with the Town in order to purchase a parking sticker. If you have not filed your census, you may submit it with the online application.

What do I do if I do not have a computer?

You may go to the Town Hall, Treasurer’s Office to pick up an application. Upon completion, drop your application off at the Treasurer’s Office with a check or cash. The form will be sent to City Hall Systems for processing and fulfillment.

What is the cost of a Resident Beach Parking Sticker?

Parking Stickers cost Ten Dollars ($10 each).

Is there a discount for senior residents?

All parking stickers cost $10. There is no senior discount.

Where does the Parking Sticker allow you to park?

The sticker is required to park in the lots/spaces around town. The lots are located at the low-lands/Short Beach; Northeastern/Canoe Beach; Town Wharf lot; Bailey’s Hill designated spots.

How long is a parking sticker valid?

Parking stickers are valid for one year.

How can I obtain a Parking Sticker?

Resident parking stickers may be obtained online at https://NahantStickers.CityHallSystems.com. You can pay for your purchase with a VISA, Mastercard or Discover credit or debit card.

What if I have a company car?

If you have a company car, please provide a letter on company stationery designating that the car is used for your personal use. Please include the car registration (plate number) in the letter. The letter may be faxed (800-609-7371), emailed (NahantStickers@CityHallSystems.com) or upload with the application in the upload utility marked ‘Vehicle Out-of-state Registration’.

Can commercial vehicles apply for Parking Stickers?

Nahant parking stickers will be issued for any commercial vehicle registered and garaged (pays excise) in Nahant.

May I get a Parking Sticker if I own a business in Nahant?

A non-resident business owner may apply for one parking sticker. Only one parking sticker will be issued to a business. Employees of said business who do not live in Nahant will not be issued parking stickers.

Where can I park if I am a non-resident?

At the discretion of the Nahant Police Department (NPD), limited parking is available off season and on occasion during summer months. Call the NPD at (781) 581-1213 for information.

Can a Parking Sticker be transferred to another vehicle?

No, a sticker cannot be transferred to another vehicle.

Does the Parking Sticker guarantee me a parking space?

No, it does not guarantee you a parking space.

Will the Town of Nahant be liable for any vehicle damaged while parked on a town street or lot?

No, the Town of Nahant shall not be held liable for any vehicle damaged while parked on a Town street or lot.

Who qualifies as a Nahant resident?

A resident of Nahant is defined as any person who lives at a street address in Nahant. Proof of residency may be required to obtain parking stickers.

If I own a summer residence in Nahant, can my family members apply for Parking Stickers?

Family members of the owners of summer residences will not be issued a Parking Sticker unless their vehicle is registered in Nahant or they can show partial ownership of the property.

Where do I place the Parking Sticker on my car?

Please remove all past years’ stickers and place the current one on the front windshield on the bottom, left-hand side.

What is the Nahant Winter Parking Policy?

The Town of Nahant has a Winter Parking Policy stating that all vehicles without a Winter Parking Waiver must be parked off the street during the hours of 12 AM until 6 AM, December 20th through March 20th. All vehicles parked on the streets during this period are subject to a parking ticket, and the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense. The Nahant Police will strictly enforce this policy.

What do I do if I need a replacement Parking Sticker?

If you need a replacement sticker, please call or visit the Nahant Treasurer’s Office or call City Hall Systems at (508) 381-5455 for assistance. In order to get a free replacement sticker you will need to return the original. There is a $25 fee for a replacement sticker if you do not return the original.
