SUMMARY:Housing Plan Production (HPP) Sub-committee Community Engagement Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Nahanters invited to learn about the Town’s housing needs and weigh in \nThe Town of Nahant\, the Nahant HPP Advisory Committee\, and MAPC are inviting Nahant residents to attend a public forum at Town Hall on Wednesday\, March 8\, 2023 from 7:00  – 9:00 p.m. Participants will learn about data that describes the Town’s demographics\, housing stock\, and housing affordability. Participants are also invited to share their experiences finding a home in Nahant that meets their needs and preferences. The committee will gather public input on a shared vision for how the Town will address its housing needs moving forward. \nIn addition to an assessment of the Town’s housing needs\, the forum will include information about the new MBTA community 3A zoning law and how it affects Nahant. This overview of 3A will prepare residents to think about the benefits of complying with 3A and the different ways the Town can pursue compliance. We need to hear from you to pursue a path for housing that’s right for Nahant.
